Historic Absecon Lighthouse

In the days before the construction of this landmark lighthouse, the locals also knew the Absecon inlet as the ‘graveyard inlet’ because of its high incidence of disastrous shipwrecks.
Historic Gardner’s Basin

There are two restaurants here with outdoor decks (Back Bay Alehouse and the Flying Cloud Café) a quaint aquarium to visit and various artists’ cabins that make up a ‘crafters village’ where the visitor can watch artists at work in their studios and buy ‘one of a kind’ craft ware.
The Aquarium

The Atlantic City Aquarium - located at Historic Gardner’s Basin - came recommended as a fun attraction for all, with its various large tanks and habitats housing some interesting exhibits including sharks, stingrays, some gnarly looking Amazonian piranhas and also providing a wonderful chance to view some magical sea horses.
