Folly Beach came recommended as a good all round beach break during conditions of developed ground swell (Folly Beach is located to the south of Charleston on 171 - at James Island / Folly Island).There is also a surf shop onsite (see ‘Surf Shop’ section), which rents boards and sells gear.
