St. Johns Hospice Antigua

St. John's Hopsice currently offers a Hospice service, providing  'in home' palliative care for the terminally ill.
They are able to offer medication, dressings and other consumable items together with around the clock nursing care.

They also help with the rental of hospital beds, walkers, wheelchairs, commodes etc. for home care.

 

The ultimate goal with this service is to make the final days of a terminally ill patient as comfortable as possible together with helping their family members cope with the stress of caring and the inevitable loss. 

 

In January 2012, the St. John Hospice in Gwenneth O'Rilley at Holberton Hospital opened it's doors.
This facility offers palliative care to those who are terminally ill and require 24 hour round the clock care.
There are 9 beds for the terminally ill and 2 respite-bed care rooms for families in need of short term assistance.

There is a minimal charge for this service.

 

St. John's Hospice have a Hospice Shop on Bishopgate Street, St. John's.
It is with the proceeds from this shop, and fundraising, that the charity helps pay their working staff of nurses and aids.
They welcome donations of clothing, household items and books, and ask that any donated items are in new or almost new condition.

These can be taken to the shop or if necessary they can arrange for collection.

Monday to Saturday - 8am to Noon

 

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 10am to 2pm

Last Friday of every month - 10am to 2pm
