Cowes week, held every year on the Isle of Wight, is the world’s longest running sailing regatta!
This regatta attracts between 800 to 1000 boats in up to 40 different classes racing every day for 8 days. There is a complete mixture of classic and ultra-modern designs that gives the regatta its uniqueness.
Around 8,000 competitors now participate, ranging from Olympic and world class yachtsmen to weekend sailors. The spectacle that the racing provides, together with the vibrant festival atmosphere, events and nightly entertainment, attracts thousands of visitors to Cowes during this wonderful week at the beginning of August.
