9/11 Memorial

Located across from North Cove Marina and the waterfront, the memorial honors the 2983 men, women and children who perished on September 11, 2001. The Memorial opened on the 10th anniversary of the attacks and consists of two pools set in the footprints of the original Twin Towers, which allows the visitors to reflect those who lost their lives and recognize the thousands who survived. It is a very moving memorial and is a symbol of hope for the future. Once fully redeveloped the WTC will include the Memorial and Museum, retail space and public transit.
