Getting Around

As with anywhere on this coast, car travel is difficult due to volume of traffic, one way systems and lack of available parking.

Public transport in Nice is very good. The tram runs past all the places you ever need to go and is simple to use as there is only one line. €1 ticket can be used for 74 minutes and can be purchased at any tram stop. Where you cannot go by tram… take the bus.

Nice is also well served by trains. The TVG goes East to Italy, North to Paris and West to Marseilles and anywhere in between. Local trains serve the many stations in the surrounding region and are often cheaper and faster than a car.
