Rigging

This Rigging & Sail company has been operating in the Caribbean for some 27 years. They have 3 service outlets in Grenada; a primary sail loft and expanded rigging workshop in Spice Island Marine boatyard, a rigging shop and “sail drop off” at Clarkes Court Boatyard and a rigging shop and recently extended 30M long sail loft in Grenada Marine boatyard. 

Turbulence is run by Richard and Joelle Szyjan. Richard is an enthusiastic sail design / rigging specialist and racing sailor, who has over 29 years of industry experience. In all of their locations, Turbulence carry extensive stocks of rigging hardware and equipment, offering the full range of rigging services... from splicing and swaging (up to 16mm), Navtec textile rigging, right through to hydraulics (including changing seals on NAVTEC vangs etc.), stepping complete rigs and rod rigging up to 12.5mm (Gauge -40). 

One of their other specialities are deck 'lay out' projects, fitting electrical winches and new deck hardware. They also carry out complete rig surveys and are agents for Profurl, Harken, Navtec and Sparcraft. They carry a good stock of Harken and Profurl ‘Off the shelf’ items. Turbulence also offer full service and support for sails and canvas (as Doyle agents) and also specialize in electrical and electronic service and installations, of which they are Raymarine and NKE certified technicians.

Canvas specialists - will create any custom canvas cover required... from covers to full enclosed awnings. 

Sails

Good sized sail loft in their primary location at Spice Island Marine boatyard and a second 30M long sail loft at Grenada Marine in St David. Sail drop off service at their third location in Clarkes Court Boatyard & Marina. 

Doyle Sails agents, Sales & Service on North & Elvstrom sails. Service on all sizes of sails from cruising Dacron to full blown Carbon racing sails. Any custom canvas covers as required... from a simple compass cover to an enclosed awning. They also design and build new cruising sails up to 15 metres luff length, ‘In-house’ at their loft.
