Surfing

Puerto Rico offers surfing opportunities for every level. On the north east coast, try surfing at El Convento (Fajardo). On the north coast (San Juan), try Escambron Beach and Pine Grove - Isla Verde (for beginners). The north to north west coast offers the heaviest proliferation of surf breaks, between Isabela (Jobos and blow hole) and Aguadilla (Gas Chambers, Wilderness, Crashboat and Surfers Beach) - Jobos beach has been home to International surf competitions, and Rincon - further south on the west coast - is really famous for its large waves up to 20 ft.
