Hikes & Bike Rides

There are some amazing beach walks and hikes in the area. One of them starting at Newport’s First Beach is the Cliff Walk which is about 3.5 miles. A path following the shore takes you along the back of the mansions, offering impressive views of the gardens and across the Atlantic Ocean. The whole walk takes about 2 hours, and is also a great place to go jogging. There is a nice bike ride along Ocean Drive out past Fort Adams and Brenton Point, which meanders around the coast of Newport or through the historic district of the Point section and along the waterfront.
