Singapore Is Reopening Its Borders to Fully Vaccinated Travellers

Fully vaccinated Superyacht crew will no longer have to serve quarantine upon arrival
With effect from 1 April 2022, superyachts arriving from non-restricted countries will be able to enter without serving any isolation period. The crew has to be fully vaccinated. They will be allowed to land after taking a supervised ART test with Ag- result. The ART test can be taken up to 2 days in advance. ART supervision via telemedicine is permissible.
Currently there is no country listed under the restricted category.
Crew change is permissible for fully vaccinated crew. Signing off crew requiring a pre-departure PCR test may do so ashore as shore leave is back. Signing on crew will have to complete a Covid-19 PDT as stated below.
Covid-19 PDT (Pre-Departure Test)
Travellers above 2 years old and arriving by air or sea are required to take any of the following COVID-19 tests within 2 days before departure:
- COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction test (PCR test) at an internationally accredited or recognised lab/clinic/medical facility; or
- Antigen Rapid Test (ART) that is:
- Administered by a trained professional; or
- Self-administered Antigen Rapid Test (ART) remotely supervised by an approved ART provider in Singapore.
Safe Distancing Measures in Singapore
In short, travelling is back to pre-Covid days except for the PDT 2 days before the trip to Singapore. However, it is still not a “Freedom Day” as in some countries. Singapore is taking the middle ground in exiting the pandemic. There are still social distancing measures to be observed. A summary of the new Covid-19 guidelines is as follows:
