IMM – International Marine Management

IMM is an international project management team dedicated to Superyacht repair around the world, with strategic bases across the Caribbean, including Guadeloupe and St.Maarten.

The company was founded in 2007, and has been offering the highest European standard quality in project management across a range of non-traditional locations ever since.

IMM’s headquarters in Guadeloupe offers berthing for yachts of all sizes and drafts, including a 200m ISPS - compliant dock, and space for a range of yachts docked stern - to along the quay. The facilities not only offer a safe, economical and secure long-term berthing solution for Superyachts in the Caribbean, but they also provide a range of refit and maintenance services.

The 700T floating dock is capable of easily hauling out yachts of up to 55m with minimal disruption to their Caribbean cruising schedule; in-water works can also be carried out. Maitre and his team have a wide experience across a range of complex refit and maintenance projects on Superyachts, from 40m+ trimarans to very large sailing yachts and motoryachts in excess of 120m.

“I had always been doubtful as to whether a shipyard period could ever be managed effectively in the Caribbean. IMM certainly answered that question. I cannot speak highly enough of the efficiency, professionalism and expertise that exists within the IMM facility. It matched any shipyard to which I had previously been” said the captain of a 50m motoryacht that used the floating dock in 2015.

As well as being a conveniently located facility for emergency mid-season repairs, IMM’s Guadeloupe operations allow for both economical and timely scheduled maintenance and surveys. Whether it’s to make the most of downtime between charters, or to save on fuel costs and travel time by using Guadeloupe as a waypoint before heading through the Panama Canal for Pacific cruising.

With its new partnership with FKG, IMM is also able to provide top-quality rigging from its base in Guadeloupe, which allows pulling even the largest of masts.

IMM’S principals are Fabrice Maitre and Jean-Michel Beron, who have been in the luxury yacht industry for over 25 years. Alongside the first-rate project management skills of Norina Edelman, they are a formidable team initiating a new era for Caribbean Superyacht refit and repair.
