Yacht Captains join A+T Instruments in Sales Roles

A+T Instruments, leaders in the high-end yacht instruments market, have announced highly acclaimed yacht captain Pete Simmonds as Head of Sales, joined as an Ambassador by Jim Thom, an experienced professional sailor and large classic yacht captain. 

Pete will lead the company’s sales in superyachts and racing yachts, building on the current base of over 500 of the planet’s largest and fastest yachts using A+T equipment. As a professional sailor, Jim will introduce the classic fleet of yachts, supporting A+T’s continuing growth, which is running at 40% year on year. 

Pete, originally from Sydney is now based in the UK with his British wife.
He has captained yachts including Saudade, P2, Escapade and was Electrical Technical Officer on S/Y Maltese Falcon.
A well-known face in superyacht circles, Pete spent a decade as Manager of Antigua Yacht Club Marina and ran a successful well known rigging business on the island also.

A+T Instruments have also announced a new partnership with Jim Thom, well known sailing legend, captain and expert on large classic yachts. 
Jim has over 30 years of experience as yacht captain having competed 4 circumnavigations and years of regatta racing. He is most recently known as the captain of the Fife 19m Class Mariquita built 1911 and then of the schooner Atlantic. He was sailing with Team Fife, Mariqita, Moonbeam III & Moonbeam IV, in the recent Richard Mille regatta in Cowes.
