Thailand International Boat Show 2025: A Celebration of Marine Excellence

The Thailand International Boat Show was in full swing from 9-12th January, at the picturesque Phuket Yacht Haven Marina, offering a grand showcase of Thailand's vibrant marine industry. This year's event was officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Thailand, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, alongside the Minister of Labour, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Governor of Phuket. The show, expertly organized by David Hayes of JAND Events, enjoyed robust support from Phuket's thriving leisure marine industry.

Thailand has long been a dream destination for cruising and superyachts, with its stunning coastline and pristine waters. This year’s government backing underscores a renewed commitment to enhancing the domestic yachting industry while warmly welcoming international yachts to Thailand’s unparalleled cruising grounds. Improvements in policies, including streamlined charter licenses, crew visas, and temporary entry permits, are paving the way for a more yacht-friendly Thailand.

From sleek day boats to majestic superyachts, the 2025 show featured an impressive display of 54 vessels, accompanied by a range of marine gadgets, boat services, charter agents, lifestyle products and luxury real estate offerings. Adding a touch of exclusivity, this year’s VIP Lounge was hosted aboard the Superyacht Lady Eileen II, while the Exhibitors and Captain’s Lounge took place aboard the equally stunning superyacht Free Bird. Also on display was the beautiful recently restored 128 year old Summers and Payne 36m classic S/Y Cariad - winner of the Classic Rebuilt Yachts Category at the 2024 Boat International World Superyachts Awards.

The Thailand Yachting Conference, held just a day before the show, brought together 150 delegates and expert speakers from across the Asia-Pacific region. This dynamic event, paired with the boat show, creates a comprehensive 360-degree B2B2C platform, connecting industry stakeholders and shining a spotlight on Thailand's flourishing marine leisure industry on a global scale.
