This museum is open from 0900-1700hrs daily and is a mine of historical information and artifacts from the past. Learn about the true history of the 'Georgian Period' dockyard from Nelson's days, right up to the rehabilitation and restoration of this historical site in more recent years, and also of the history of the people… starting its story with the archaic, who were displaced by the Arawak settlers; and then moving through the various garrisons that were stationed in Antigua throughout the Colonial warring periods, with particular reference to Admiral Horatio Nelson. The Royal visits are documented here and there are some interesting exhibits, all with an element of nautical intrigue.
