This well respected sail loft located in St. George’s offers comprehensive canvas, upholstery, sail repairs and are the ready to help with any repairs, upgrades or canvas work. We continue to receive great comments about Steve Hollis, who has been at the helm at Ocean Sails Bermuda since 1980, along with the help of his wife Suzanne. This sail loft has earned such an excellent reputation within the yachting community, and Steve is consistently rated as the very best Sailmaker / Rigger on the island today. 

Ocean Sails Bermuda has a huge amount of experience in new sails, rigging and sail repairs, and Steve has all the skills to satisfy any ‘yachts in need’. He is on hand to troubleshoot, and provide professional advice, with rock solid answers to any technical enquiry. Geared up with indispensable tools of the trade, including a complete inventory of sewing machines, which enable them to handle sails of any size or weight.

Ocean Sails Custom Canvas and Upholstery has upholstered and custom covered some of the finest yachts in the world, building excellent ongoing working relationships with Captains of both power and sailing yachts. Steve can travel anywhere in the world to measure the project, then create it in Bermuda return to the yacht wherever it is and fit it without a hitch!

Ocean Sails continues to expand with interesting big canvas projects that require impeccable old world craftsmanship, which Steve has mastered over the last 35 years.

Their sail loft is on Water Street, just across the bridge from the St. George’s Yacht Reporting Center.
Besides their sails, canvas / upholstery and complete rigging services, they also have an Internet Café, Phone services, Telephone Cards and Wi-Fi (out into the St. George’s harbor anchorage).
Moorings are also available for rent, and in addition Ocean Sails is the ‘Seven Seas Cruising Association Station’.
