About Cyprus

Cyprus is a very desirable destination, whether on charter with guests, or as a base between trips, or for a mild Winter.

The Republic of Cyprus is the third largest Mediterranean Island, and part of the European Union, though the northern part of the island is under Turkish control.

Gaining independence from the UK in 1960, Cyprus has embraced the cultures of both East and West for thousands of years, and is the gateway in and out of the MED for yachts - with close proximity to both Turkey and Greece, The Middle East, and Port Said in Egypt for yachts transiting through Suez to SE Asia.

A European member since 2004, the Euro is the local currency. A low cost of living is complemented by one of the most beneficial tax regimes in Europe and a British-based legal system. Cyprus is one of the safest countries in the EU; friendly and personable, the majority of Cypriots are fluent in English.

Picturesque bays and coastal resorts, stunning mountain landscapes and pretty villages up in the Troodos Mountains, which are snow covered in the winter; Mount Olympus at 1952m the highest peak with four ski slopes – a stress free- safe lifestyle and minimum pollution make Cyprus a very desirable destination, whether on charter with guests, or as a base between trips, or for a mild Winter.

Limassol Marina now opens Cyprus up to larger yachts – with good fresh local provisioning, chandleries and technical services to support.
