Pilotage - Queensland

Any vessel or foreign flagged yacht of 50m LOA+ entering into any Queensland Port, requires a port pilot on board to enter harbour limits.

Other States in Australia, vessels over 35m LOA require a Port Pilot to enter ports – however advice through vessels port agent should be sought for any special individual port arrangements regarding pilotage.

Vessels over 70m LOA transiting the Great Barrier Reef are required to carry a compulsory Reef Pilot.

Pilotage for both port and reef are booked through the vessels port agent.
