Their long list of accolades and visiting superyachts speaks for itself. Voted Australia’s Marina of the Year 2017 – 2020 and Hall of Fame in 2021, Superyacht Industry Service Provider of the Year in 2021 and again in 2024, plus voted as “Best Superyacht Marina” in the 2022 ACREW Superyacht Business Awards, the marina offers a level of service which attracts yachts from around the world.
Prestigiously, as Queensland’s first 5 Gold Anchor Platinum accredited marina, Coral Sea Marina sets the benchmark for superyacht marina facilities in Australia.
Certified as a Clean Marina Level III by the Marina Industries Association and as Sustainable Tourism Certified by Ecotourism Australia, Coral Sea Marina Resort is committed to sustainable operations and environmental stewardship. These certifications underscore the marina’s dedication to reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices.
A key aspect of the marina’s Environmental Policy is its focus on educating visitors, employees, and stakeholders about the environmental initiatives it supports. The marina’s rules and guidelines are designed to ensure that vessels adhere to sustainable practices while staying at the marina, helping to protect the surrounding environment.
The marina is particularly passionate about the marine park in which it operates and encourages all visitors to be mindful of their actions and their impact on the marine ecosystem. To further this mission, the Coral Sea Academy was established— aimed at inspiring and educating marina guests, visitors, and locals about sustainability, the Great Barrier Reef, and responsible boating practices.
Through the distribution of up-to-date information on these important topics, the marina works to spread the sustainability message to a wider audience. Check out their environmental initiatives here.
