About Spain

Spain covers a vast area, both within the MED with its long southern coastline from Gibraltar to Barcelona and The Balearic Islands; its north coast onto the Atlantic/ Bay of Biscay – where Cap de Finisterre offers a formidable bolt-hole when gales are blowing, not to mention some of the best seafood in the world and the welcome pit stop of The Canary Islands for those yachts en-route from the Med to the Caribbean.

The volcanic islands of Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera and El Heiro also provide a rich and quiet cruising ground with spectacular anchorages and scenery. The sub-tropical climate make the Canaries a year round mild and reliable base, with ever increasing access to services for Superyachts.

On the mainland, Barcelona as the biggest and busiest commercial port is a longstanding principal choice for Superyachts as  a base, with leading industry standard services.

The Superyacht ports of VilanovaTarragonaValenciaCartegena and on to the Costa del Sol, are surging to offer equality to Barcelona with huge investment in marinas, shipyards and hauling facilities – with some excellent services available.

Centrally located in the Med, the Balearic Islands are an enduring destination for Superyachts; delightful cruising grounds with deep natural harbours, stunning beauty, rich cultural history and luxury marinas with top class restaurants.

Mallorca remains the perennial choice for Captains - providing boundless options from full haul out and refit services, provisioning, recruitment and entertainment – and as a home port/ permanent base for many yachts and their crew.
