About Denmark

Denmark, the Southern most of the Scandinavian countries, is a true sea faring nation with 443 named islands, 7,314km of coastline and the two ‘autonomous territories’ of Greenland & The Faroe Islands. 

Denmark is making massive efforts on the environmental front & in 2020 was leading the Environmental performance Index.  It is understood the waters of Copenhagen are so clean swimming is encouraged! 

The Danes are famous not just for the Viking history but also cutting-edge design, in many aspects including architecture.  This has created landscapes mixed with ‘Disney Land’ castles, modern buildings and idyllic streets with traditional and very quaint buildings.  Not to forget the nature on offer in Denmark, which may have no mountains but does have stunning beaches and ancient forests. 

Copenhagen is a must visit, offering one of the best qualities of life in The World; a great street scene with cafes and famous Michelin restaurants & besides, the history seeps from the ground in the infamous port of Copenhagen.
