About Norway

Norway is famed for her Fjords, offering truly spectacular vistas of massive glaciers draping down the mountains, rugged cliffs and tumbling waterfalls. Two of these Fjords are UNESCO World Heritage sites, some of the longest and deepest Fjords in the World. It is not hard to imagine why this has become such a desired cruising ground!

The South West city of Bergen is considered the ‘gateway’ to the Fjords, where the Gulf Stream helps keep a milder climate and ice-free passages.  Bergen itself, is a picturesque and historical city, famed for the colourful wooden buildings.  There is also, conveniently, an international airport.

Offering so much outdoor adventure, such as hiking, Salmon & ocean fishing, kayaking, dog sledging and more, Norway is obviously a paradise for those wanting to explore.

During late May to late June the sun never completing sets, hence being named the ‘Land of the Midnight Sun’.

Tromso, in the Norwegian Arctic with a location at nearly 70° north, is recognized as one of the best places to see the Northern Lights, from September through to April, and is a prime starting point for an Arctic adventure.

Norway’s capital, Oslo, offers a diverse café culture and some infamous fine dining, alongside a mix of modern and historical backdrop.
