About Port de Sóller

Port de Sóller lies to the North East of Palma, some 3kms from the town of Sóller and approximately 12kms from the picturesque village of Deia. The dramatic Tramontana mountain range provides a spectacular backdrop to this pretty port.

Inland is the town of Sóller, which lies in a valley sheltered by the Alfabia mountain massif and dominated by the Islands highest peak the 1,445 m Puig Major.

Sóller is an ideal base for exploring the mountains on foot or cycling. Sóller is very scenic with ample cafes, bars and restaurants in the centre. One can take the old train from Palma which is particularly popular and is often crowded in the peak summer season. The journey takes about an hour and travels across the Mallorca plain and the mountains via 13 tunnels to Sóller, finally linking up with the local tram. Alternatively, driving there from Palma is easy via the five km tunnel built in the 1990’s.

The Port de Sóller with its attractive harbour, plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants, sandy beaches and lighthouse has come enthusiastically recommended as a fun and stimulating destination to visit with owners or guests aboard.

To the north, the main part of the town abounds with local craft shops, cafes and - overlooking the fishing port – and we heard of restaurants serving some of the best fresh fish anywhere on the island.

The marina has a total of 45 berths, ranging from 12 to 35 metres. There are heavy-duty moorings, water and electricity for each berth. Security is also a high priority with 24 hour surveillance and access only allowed to berth holders. The marina facilities came enthusiastically recommended to us by numerous Captains again this season.
