Camuy Caves

Located just inland from Arecibo, this is a wondrous attraction and is the third largest underground cave system in the world. Tours available Wed-Sun. Visitors take a fun trolley ride descending through tropical foliage, then alight on foot to descend into the enormous caves on a walking tour. Headphones are given out which play a guided narrative in either English or Spanish. Open Wednesday to Sunday 0830–1700hrs – last tour at 1530hrs. The caves are closed on public holidays. The site is run by the Puerto Rico National Parks.
