About Turks & Caicos Islands

The beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands cover an area of 193 square miles in the Atlantic Ocean and are adjoined to the south east tip of the Bahamas archipelago. By air, they lie approximately one and a half hours flying time south east of Miami (575 miles).

They consist of eight major islands, split between the ‘Turks Islands’, which include the capital on Grand Turk, and the ‘Caicos Islands’, of which Providenciales is the most prominent.

The Turks and Caicos Islands have one of the longest coral reefs in the world, as well as 230 miles of beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal-clear blue water. Excellent sport fishing, snorkeling and scuba diving options are available here, with the waters surrounding the Turks and Caicos archipelago being abundant with marine wildlife, including manta rays, dolphins and migrating humpback whales.

The island of Providenciales is an excellent destination for Superyachts, with convenient navigational approaches and choice of dockage at the South Bank Marina and Boatyard or IGY Blue Haven Marina – Shore-side support, yacht clearances and dockage reservations are available from South Bank Marina’s excellent concierge team.

An excellent range of luxury hotels / resorts and shoreside amenities including a renowned golf course can all be found on Providenciales. On the logistical front, there is also an International airport (with direct flights to / from London, Canada, New York, Florida, Puerto Rico and other USA airports… plus airline services connecting to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and the Bahamas). Shallow draught vessels and catamarans in Turks and Caicos waters have liberal access to all that the islands have to offer, whilst deeper draught yachts will have more restricted itineraries.
