About St.Kitts & Nevis

St. Kitts and Nevis are two of the most natural and least developed islands in the Caribbean. With a past steeped in history, this twin-island state oozes appeal to ‘yachties’ who have come to ‘explore and discover’. The Christophe Harbour Superyacht Marina and Real Estate Development offers superyachts a full range of premier yacht services with an onsite ‘fuel farm’ – providing in-slip bunkering at very competitive rates plus a host of other crew services and amenities.

Lying only 1.78 nautical miles south-east of St. Kitts, Nevis can be accessed by boat, or even water taxi from Christophe Harbour for a round of Golf, a visit to the sanctuary that is Montpelier Plantation or a taste of heritage and tradition at Romney Manor – home of Caribelle Batik.

There are also some excellent marina berths / docks at Port Zante Marina in Basseterre (St. Kitts), where they are capable of handling yachts from 50 ft in length to over 500 ft.

These facilities now allow many more yachts to visit and experience a wonderful taste of the island's history and its lush tropical rainforest interior.

Looking back at its history, St. Kitts was the first British colony established in the Caribbean (then referred to as the West Indies) in 1623. A visit to one of the remaining historic plantation houses or inns of this era offers one of the most memorable highlights of any Caribbean cruise. There are a number of well-recommended ‘Island Tour’ options for each island, exploring the rainforest interior - either by car or foot - to see the green monkeys, amazing flora and fauna; and the beautifully restored UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘The Brimstone Hill Fortress’ – originally built in the late 1600s by African slaves.

Besides the attraction of bringing owners or guests here on charter, Christophe Harbour Marina is a useful port of call for a couple days. Vessels can re-fuel, provision, undergo some regular maintenance, and owners can keep their crew fresh and happy by giving them some shore leave to explore the islands. There is also the opportunity to indulge in the thrill of kite surfing, or perhaps even a relaxing game of golf - St.Kitts & Nevis have two of the Caribbean’s top golf courses – with the Four Seasons’ course on Nevis now easily accessible by water taxi from Christophe Harbour.

Last but not least, a visit to Christophe Harbour’s ‘Salt Plage’ beach bar / lounge and restaurant (in Whitehouse Bay) is not to be missed!
