Overview
A yachting destination of choice with year round yacht trade.
Grenada
Despite parts of Northern Grenada and its offlying islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique being hit by Hurricane Beryl in July 2024, mainland Grenada’s boatyards, marinas and yachting services and infrastructure were not affected.
The islands reputation as a preferred Caribbean destination for yachting enthusiasts endures and continues to expand with more and more yachts seeking safe anchorages and summer haulout options across Grenada’s good choice of boatyard facilities. Grenada features one of the Caribbean’s largest boat travel lifts (242 ton) at Clarke’s Court Boatyard and Marina.
From its friendly hospitable people, to its low crime, abundant boatyards, marinas, chandleries and excellent yacht services, Grenada is cementing its position as a destination of choice. At 12 degrees north and largely outside of the hurricane belt, Grenada is one of the few islands in the Caribbean that has a year-round yacht trade.
One can also not forget Grenada itself with its abundance of spices, rivers, waterfalls, fantastic diving and a range of historic and natural attractions. The Underwater Sculpture Park, which was dubbed by National Geographic Magazine as one of the 25 wonders of the world is among this alluring assortment of attractions.

Carriacou and Petit Martinique
Welcome to Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the inviting sister islands that combine with mainland Grenada to make up the interwoven tri-island state of our enchanting shores – a place where untouched beauty meets our warm people, content with a simple way of life.
At 12 degrees north, the three islands lie safely outside of the hurricane belt giving the tri-island state a year-round yachting trade. Further to this, Carriacou now has two boatyard and marina facilities which support a line-up of marine services available in and around Tyrell Bay – This now enables deep draft boats of up to 150 tons to be hauled. Frequent inter-island ferries and air connections allow freedom of movement between the islands, ensuring the best of the tri-island experience and unhindered movement of goods and services to and from Carriacou, in particular. Beyond the working facilities for yachts, which includes a vibrant local shipwright trade of boat building, Carriacou and Petite Martinique also offer first-class diving possibilities, together with wonderful places to stay and a great selection of restaurants and hostelries to eat delicious authentic food and refresh your senses.
The peaceful delights and sincerity of Carriacou and Petite Martinique combine with Grenada to offer a lifestyle so pure and authentic that you feel instantly renewed.
Their charming islands boast silky stretches of white sand beaches, sunken treasures adorned by corals and unspoilt landscapes undiscovered by crowds. So, take a journey like never before; a journey that is pure and real.
Grenada is awarded the Yachting Destination of the year by the Caribbean Travel Awards 2023
