Electec

Electec has been established on St. Maarten since 1992. Over the years they have grown and developed into a strong electrical company with a myriad of dealerships and international recognition.

Electec has retail and service facilities located on the waterfront in Cole Bay. They are situated between Island Water World and Budget Marine, with adequate dock space for several dinghies and larger tenders.

Electec has an extremely well-stocked retail space of about 4,500 sq. ft. In their shop, you will find just about everything electrical (and related) that you could possibly need, including watermaker filters and parts. They also stock a wide range of Milwaukee and Makita power tools. If you can’t find what you want in house, they have a team of very experienced sales personnel who will source and supply any special order parts or equipment from anywhere in the world, as fast as is logistically possible.

Electec’s brand new 4,500 sq. ft. service center is on Wellington Road opposite FKG Rigging.

They have a well-recognized Marine Service Department, with several highly skilled, factory trained and qualified service technicians. Electec’s primary areas of marine service expertise are the installation, service and repair of generator sets and watermakers, AC and DC electrical distribution systems and equipment, shore power conversion equipment, battery chargers, inverters and converters.

Electec also has two in-house repair shops. One shop handles electronics and the other specializes in the repair of alternators, starter motors, winch and windlass motors, fire pumps, transfer pumps, and repair of Milwaukee and Makita power tools etc.

Electec is the dealer for Northern Lights, Cummins Onan, Kohler, Fischer Panda, Whisper Power and Westerbeke generator sets, Sea Recovery, HRO, Spectra, Katadyn, Eco-Sistems and AquaBase watermakers, Atlas Marine Systems and A/SEA shore power converters, Mastervolt, Victron Energy and ProMariner battery chargers, inverters and converters, VDO instruments, BK Precision instruments, Interstate batteries, Milwaukee and Makita Power Tools, Klein hand tools, ABB, Balmar and much more.

Electec also has standing accounts with several manufacturers that they do not represent as dealers, including Gem Remotes Boat Lifts, among others. There is little they cannot efficiently source and supply.

In regards to service work, Electec is very much in demand. As such, and in order to try and meet each customer’s particular needs, Electec encourages yachts to contact them as early as possible to schedule works in advance.
