"A highly professional set up” and “An excellent crew training facility” are two of the Captains comments we picked up this year for this well known and respected official International Yachtmaster Training affiliated school, conveniently located in Marina Royale in the centre of Marigot, St.Martin, on the lagoon.

Principal, Veerle Rolus, for over 11 years has run mainly professional yacht courses like the official MCA 6 day STCW'2010 (upgraded from STCW’95 and now includes Maritime Security Awareness), the IYT Master of Yachts 200 Ton Offshore and Ocean, as well as the Small Powerboat and RIB / Tender license (required for operation in the Mediterranean and other places), VHF radio course, Personal Watercraft (Jet Ski/Wave Runner) courses, Dive Boat Master (PADI) and others. Most courses are MCA approved, Worldwide recognized, and rates are mostly lower than anywhere else.

They also run a broad range of other yachting related courses - like the Bareboat Charter Captain's license for recreational yachtsman.

In addition, the school also offers customized courses like fire fighting, first aid etc, on board large yachts and instructors can go to other islands like Antigua, Grenada, Tortola, Curacao etc. upon request.

The school can be reached easily from all the major marinas in the lagoon by dinghy or tender (space is provided on the dock in front of the school’s office in Marina Royale on the French side) or by local bus.
