Marina Casa de Campo

This well-appointed and dedicated superyacht marina in the Dominican Republic is located just 7km away from La Romana International Airport and is part of the huge 7,000-acre Casa de Campo Resort that has an amazing array of facilities: three 18-hole public golf courses, two heliports, luxury villas (for sale or rent) and a five-star hotel. 

The marina has good access from the sea, with a 16ft. draft for vessels of up to 250ft. LOA and three alternative mooring systems for vessels of different sizes. 

30 / 50 / 100 / 200-amp 60 Hz power is available at 120 / 240 / 480 volts, along with water and WIFI. The standard of facilities in and around the marina complex is excellent. Customs and Immigration servives are available onsite 24-hrs and, as an official port of entry to the Dominican Republic, information on clearance procedures and fees are available via the marina’s website. 

Weather forecasting is printed daily at the port offices and a special weather service is also available on request for departing vessels. All docks are equipped with fire extinguishers, emergency response kits, and surveillance cameras (to assist their 24-hr security personnel). There are two fuel stations at the marina and high-quality diesel can be delivered directly from the marina’s ‘K’ dock. Fire station and ambulance services are also stationed in the area.

The excellent shore-side facilities at the marina include: banks, a good supermarket with gourmet provisioning, a range of international restaurants, various café bars, three-screen cinema complex, yacht concierge services, cigar shop, designer boutiques, jewelry stores and a pharmacy. 

Beyond this, the surrounding resort attractions at the expansive Casa De Campo estate include:

• Three championship golf courses designed by World Golf Hall of Fame member Pete Dye (including the famous Teeth of the Dog ranked #46 in the world and #1 in the Caribbean)
• Three polo fields
• 12 tennis Har-Tru courts
• A shooting center (trap, skeet and hunting simulations)
• A private beach with restaurant
• Horse riding facilities

Also, perched high up above the Chavon River (about 10 minutes’ drive from the marina) is the charming development Altos de Chavon, which is a 16th century replica of a Mediterranean village, with an archaeological museum, quaint shops, exclusive boutiques, art gallery and a dramatic amphitheater which plays host to live music concerts.

Fishing Season

Bill fishing in the waters off the Dominican Republic is renowned and world famous for its prolific tag and release catches. Marina Casa de Campo is located in the heart of these privileged fishing grounds. The fishing season runs from February until May with peak season being March and April. In the last four years, fishing fleets have experienced the most exciting epic catches, with 972 Blue Marlin released in the 2018 season, and over 131 days of fishing!  Other species caught in the area are White Marlin, Swordfish, Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo and Tuna.
