Fort King George & The Tobago Museum

The main fort in Tobago is located on the hill overlooking Scarborough. Many of the buildings have been preserved and include a military hospital, an officers' mess hall and a prison. Several cannons still ‘stand guard’ in the well-manicured grounds around the fort. The former guardhouse now houses The Tobago Museum, which is open Monday to Friday. Among the exhibits are weapons, old maps and pre-Columbian artifacts that were unearthed in the area.
