Aix en Provence

Aix dates back to Roman times and was once the capital of Provence, with elegant fountains and 17th century mansions. Just 30 minutes drive from Marseille, this charming town is a lovely place to wander around with its numerous museums and historic buildings. Aix is also home to a very popular music festival held in July.
