Cattedrale di San Lorenzo

The Cattedrale di San Lorenzo is Genoa's cathedral, located in a little square uphill from the Porto Antico. The imposing building was begun in a Romanesque style and subsequently given a Gothic make-over, followed by several more centuries of restorations and alterations, and the wide range of styles on display makes it a memorable sight.
