Patriot’s Point Naval & Maritime Museum

Located at 40 Patriots Point, Mount Pleasant, just next door to the Patriot’s Point Golf Course, this is a very informative and nostalgic maritime center which features the Carrier USS ‘Yorktown’, the Submarine USS ‘Clagamore’, the USS ‘Laffey’ and the USCG vessel ‘Ingham’.

At Patriots Point, one can go on board the carrier Yorktown or browse through the museum exhibits and recorded narratives of the rebel history of Charleston and its guns, defenses and heroism during the destructive days of the American Civil War. Open daily from 0900-1830hrs; this venue makes for an interesting distraction whilst at the same time being a very convenient location to visit by car with easy parking.
