Overview

Based in Newport and the Northeast, adventure photographer Cory Silken provides power and sailing yacht photography to editorial, commercial, fine art, and private clients worldwide.

When he’s not out racing in the Herreshoff S Class fleet on Narragansett Bay, Silken frequently travels for assignments in Florida and the Caribbean during the winter, and New England and Mediterranean during the summer.

In addition to still photography, Silken collaborates with industry-leading videographers, working side by side to provide a cohesive multimedia solution. As a talented sailor, a well-traveled outdoorsman, and a successful entrepreneur, Silken has a broad skill set that he brings to every photo shoot. He is easy going and pleasant to work with, gracefully adapts to changing conditions, and is experienced at working on projects at all levels. Cory has a wonderful studio and gallery located at Bannister's Wharf, in the heart of Historic Newport.
