Every Life Lost to Suicide is a Tragedy
Prevention is something that we can all individually help with...
Stark facts from the World Health Organization
Every year 703,000 people in the world take their own life and there are many more people who attempt suicide.
Suicide was the fourth leading cause of death among 15-29 year-olds globally in 2019.
It affects families, communities and work places, with long-lasting effects on the people left behind.
We know that suicide is preventable, it’s not inevitable.
But not being okay is still widely stigmatised
A short conversation with another person can sometimes be enough to make the difference between life and death for them.
- Reach Out
- Be Kind
- Listen
- Reassure them that they are NOT alone
- Seek Support
