Outpost Charters, one of Mexico’s top adventure charters, announces the first and only Duffy, the original luxury electric boat rental service in Baja California!

Electric boats are becoming increasingly popular in the boating community. The recently refurbished electric-powered Duffy boat, named, “Bela,” runs off batteries allowing for quiet and leisurely boating with low impact on the environment.

Duffy Electric Boat Company, a California-based company, was founded in 1970 by the boat’s inventor Marshall “Duffy” Duffield, who used to be the mayor of Newport Beach, California. Duffy boats are now recognized worldwide as the finest electric-powered watercraft available.

“We are very excited to have the first Duffy in Baja through Outpost Charters.” said MPE General Manager, Enrique Salcedo. “This expanded rental option is a great fit with our existing premium services and commitment to environmental stewardship here at Marina Puerto Escondido,"

While aboard the boat, guests are permitted to cruise anywhere within the bay and may request concierge services or a captain for an extra charge. Appetizers, snacks, and assorted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included and packages range to include Baja wine and charcuterie, local craft beer on draft with chips and guacamole, gourmet pizza and more.

Outpost Charters is following all federal, state, and local COVID-19 guidelines regarding social distancing, employee mask policies, cleaning and sanitization measures, with the fleet of boats all being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each charter.
