HARBOUR MASTER
Slick Berris, the Harbour Master continues to come extremely well rated. Slick is a very friendly contact, ready to help out with anything one might need. He will assist yachts picking up a mooring... and in the event that a Captain feels the yacht to be too large for a mooring (or there are no more moorings left), requests that he is called to advise where to anchor. It should be noted that the mooring fee allows yachts to stay up to three days for the nominal fee. The moorings themselves are made with large square concrete blocks, with 4 x 12 feet 3/8" chain, onto four 3/8" shackles. These fasten onto a 1/2 inch shackle which then lead onto 1/2 inch chain to the surface buoy. They were said to be good for yachts up to approx. 60 feet (Slick will advise).
