Acqua Films specializes in showcasing the finest yachts on screen. The business, run by Iain Mc Glashan and Roddy Grimes-Graeme, use high quality footage, still photos, computer animations and creative editing to show each vessel as it is meant to be seen. In making films to promote yachts for charter, sale, or the owner's personal use; they pride themselves on having brought a new feel to charter yacht marketing... reflecting the style and visual impact that characterize modern Superyachts. Their philosophy is to provide clients with films that use dynamic moving pictures to illustrate the style of the yacht and the lifestyle possibilities it can provide for prospective charterers or buyers. They feel that since the designers spend hundreds of hours on building a yacht, the crew spend hundreds of hours maintaining it, and brokers spend hundreds of hours selling it to clients... their 'promo' film should leave no doubts as to the results of all this effort!
Shooting with High Definition cameras, gyrostabilizers and marinized cameras they use the latest gear in a quest to put better pictures on screen. Starting with HD footage allows them to provide a range of products from their shoots, from huge HD pictures to broadcast quality to clear website video. They have produced charter promos, regatta films and website videos for clients in the Caribbean, USA and Europe.
This was a service for which we received first class feedback from one major Superyacht for whom they had put together an excellent video film to introduce their website; and also from the Chairman of a high profile yacht building company, who couldn't talk well enough of the high quality 'promo film' and still shots work they'd received from Roddy. The past year also saw them releasing their second film about the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta and one of the inaugural Superyacht Cup Antigua 2006.
They also produced work for a number of industry clients including Lurssen, Future Fibres, Panerai, Perini Navi, Valencia Superyacht Marina, Fineline Films, Gleeds Construction as well as CNN Mainsail and VH1. They also maintain a large library of stock footage which is available for sale.
