Richman Marine

In operation for over 15 years, Richman Marine is now owned and operated by Mike Hastie and Simon Addrison, and is conveniently located just off SE 17th Street in the heart of Fort Lauderdale.

Their combined experience at sea and in the marine industry enables them to offer a personalised service offering parts, supplies and logistical support to yachts wherever they may be in the world... and we picked up a whole round of highly enthusiastic feedback for their services last year.

Miguel, an ex yacht Engineer, is part of the Richman team as well as Oliver, Jodie and Jennifer who, with their considerable experience, are invaluable in identifying exactly what parts are needed when yachts have problems. Richman carry a large selection of light bulbs and water filters in stock, as well as a range of painting and cleaning products.

For yachts operating between Miami and Palm Beach, Richman also stocks a good range of ‘high use’ items that can be rapidly delivered locally - for free - by their own delivery service. Located next door to, and owned by Richman Marine is ‘The Chef in You’, a highly renowned specialist supplier of galley equipment and accessories (see ‘Galley Equipt. / Supplies’ section). In all, these are two highly reputable companies, dedicated to serving the professionally crewed yacht market... and well worth checking out.

Marine Industry Supply Co.

Started in 2003 by its owner Ed Brillinger, who already had some 25 years experience of the marine industry, Marine Industry Supply (MIS) has rapidly established itself as a well renowned supplier of tools, supplies and chandlery to the yachting industry, and their services came highly well recommended to us.

Their target market has historically been companies serving the industry, but they are now supplying direct to yachts, and it is this area that will be the focus of their future expansion plans.

Ed’s son Bill has been spearheading the marketing side of the business and his son Thomas, with over 10 years experience in the chandlery business, has now joined MIS to manage the expanding ‘yachting’ division.

They offer a wide range of power tools including Bosch, Delta, Dewalt, Fein, Festool, Jet, Makita, Porter Cable and Powermatic; and hand tools from Channel Lock, Crescent, Japan Woodworker, Lee Valley, Vise Grip, Simonds and Stanley.

On the supplies front they stock all of the cleaning, maintenance, painting and varnishing products used on yachts, with such names as 3M, Awlgrip, Epifanes, EZ-mix, Indasa, Minwax, Mohawk, Pettit and West prominent on their shelves.

And if by any chance you cannot find what you are looking for, MIS will happily source it and deliver to you promptly.

Equally important is the fact that a visit to MIS is a very enjoyable experience – more like visiting friends than going “shopping”!

With a constant flow of coffee available as well as “hot dog days”, MIS really do try to make your visit a pleasant experience.
