MHG Marrine Benefits

MHG Marine Benefits (MHG) provides comprehensive medical, disability and life insurance plans for professional yacht crew worldwide. Offshore savings and retirement plans are also available. MHG is strongly focused on developing group and individual benefit plans which recognize the specific needs and concerns of the marine industry. This is exemplified by some of the activities which may be covered in their medical insurance plans, such as SCUBA, winter sports and surfing - and also by the fact that plans may be effective both while at work, as well as when on vacation. Plans are designed specifically for professional yacht crews.

In addition to designing and distributing their widely renowned benefit programs, MHG pride themselves on the special emphasis they place upon 'service'. Each person covered under any of MHG's plans may request assistance with any aspect of their benefit - be it in understanding the coverage provided, or in any aspect of the claims process. This assistance is becoming increasingly available on-line but is always backed up by people who understand that some concerns are best dealt with on a personal basis.

Having been involved with the marine industry since 1979, MHG's programs are widely used by Superyacht owners, management companies, marine insurance brokers, Captains and crewmembers, worldwide. Whilst researching Captains for their 'recommended services' for our Guide in the past few years, we have noted how a continually growing number of yachts are now offering MHG cover plans as a 'standard employment benefit' to prospective crewmembers.
