ALASKA YACHT SERVICES
This is going to be a great contact for any yachts lucky enough to be heading up for a cruise in the waters around Alaska. The business is run by Amy Wachmann, who spent 10 years herself in the professional yachting industry and also worked on boats cruising Alaska's glaciers each summer. Amy comes from a family who have been living in Alaska for the past 20 years - so has a wealth of inside knowledge which, combined with her yachting experience, make her an excellent contact for any yacht planning a cruise in these waters. There are new rules regarding Alaska marine pilotage and state COFR laws; with permits now required for certain areas. Amy's services include assisting yachts to plan their cruise itineraries... organizing all appropriate permits, tours, dockage, mail services etc... as necessary; and putting together an information pack for any specific area. Once the yacht then makes their way north, Amy can organize all and any produce a Superyacht is likely to require and offers a full provisioning service, specifically oriented towards a Superyacht's needs - with fresh produce, flowers etc.. being flown in straight from the 'lower 48' U.S. states. She can also organize any transportation requirements, including private aircraft... and once the yacht is off cruising, can even arrange a float plane to fly ongoing provisions directly to a pre- determined anchorage.
