Located in Sub base, St. Thomas, Offshore Marine have spent 21 years as specialists in the tender / outboard motor, sales and service field. They consequently know the business as few others do - and are another prime organization with a total ethos and commitment towards customer service. The business is run by Abrie Cilliers, who is firmly at outboards and Yanmar units for the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. Indeed, Offshore Marine are a seriously important 'kingpin' operation for handling the new and after-sales support of Yamaha products (especially 4 stroke units) supplying the entire Caribbean region of distributorships. They really do have the presence to action any challenges one might have, and offer full service facilities for Yanmar and Yamaha motors, including re-boring, re-sleeving, and complete engine rebuilds. They also hold the appropriate spare parts manuals for all motors supplied the world over - and can consequently source and supply the right parts required, and FedEx them on to the yacht's specific location. Offshore Marine can supply and fit new Yanmar power units from 20 HP up to 500 HP and can also supply Yamaha outboard units up to 350HP (four stroke).

They are also highly competitive on price, because they are able to source parts directly - as a main dealer - from Japan or US without prejudice. Short lead times for parts from the States are as little as two to three days, and last year, lead time for Japanese originating parts was massively improved, taking only 5 days. Their technicians are all factory trained in the U.S. each year to keep updated, and as part of the Company's commitment to customer service, they will also fly technicians anywhere - Caribbean wide - to carry out any emergency repair work (and can usually perform a complete 'round trip' turnaround, including effecting the repair, within a day).

Offshore Marine are also the B.V.I. and U.S.V.I. sole distributors for Boston Whaler and Contender boats, and agents for Caribe, Zodiac and Nautica inflatables. They also supply and service Yamaha Waverunner jetskis / PWC's and offer a storage service for them as required. New for this year, they are able to offer a custom built 35 ft inflatable rib for rent or purchase.

They have an air conditioned, temperature controlled workshop, and offer service / repair work for any brand of inflatables. The Island Marine group, last year expanded their outboard sales and service centre. They are the Caribbean's only dealer for Bombardier / Evinrude and BRP Johnson outboards and are also distributors for Honda engines and parts. They also offer servicing (by factory trained technicians) on all makes of outboard motors - for which they'll collect and deliver, or send a technician around to service it, on site. Their service centre is centrally located at the Independent Boat Yard in Benners Bay.
