RE-PLATING

This is a great service for which we have received consistently positive recommendations in past years. Marine Tech are based at Sub Base, near Crown Bay (see 'Sails/Canvas' section for the 'big picture')... from where they will collect any interior or exterior hardware from the yacht, and have it professionally re-plated. The service includes over 125 different options... so whether it's gold, rose gold, chrome or titanium... that needs to be gloss, matt, or brushed (plus many more choices!) - they can do it. Yachts are requested to plan a 2-3 week lead time for re-plating services.

This service was said to be especially good for new hardware - purchased - that was not available in a finish to match the original hardware; or if the original hardware is pitting and simply needs renovating; or whence the yacht owner might have previously had to choose fabric or wood colours to match existing hardware... they could now change the original hardware finish itself!
