This legendary woodland course comes very well recommended by all who play on it. It has been referred to as “one of the great treasures of American golf...” after being commissioned by Laurence Rockefeller in 1966 and designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior. The resultant ‘signature’ course is considered to be one of his finest. The Pro- shop offers a good range of golfing attire and accessories and an 18 hole round of golf at Carambola will cost approx. 95US$. The resident golf pro, Kenny Peets, welcomes all players to Carambola and tee times can be booked 24 hours in advance (see contacts below). Contact:
This international 18 hole golf course designed by Tom Fazio came highly recommended to us again last season. It is situated around 5 miles from downtown Charlotte Amalie... just 10 minutes drive away from American Yacht Harbor in East End. This is a very welcoming club with a 'Resident Pro' named Nevin Phillips. Signature holes are the famous 'Devils Triangle' series... and if you get through these three holes without a penalty, you will be entitled to a prize from the management! Rates are approx.150 US$ with cart; twilight rates are 110 US$, and off- season rates 115US$. Rental clubs 40US$ (though clubs are complimentary if you've rented a car from Budget Car Rental). The Pro-shop Boutique is very well presented and has some great sporty clothing and Callaway - Cobra golf clubs available. This 18 hole scenic course (ocean view on 12 holes) designed by Bob Joyce, is located in St Croix. It came rated as being "a challenging par 70 hill course, featuring some very different holes for all standards, with 4 holes right on the waterside." Resident PGA Pro is Tim Johnston, and Tee times are scheduled one day in advance. The Pro Shop is open from 0730-1700hrs, and Green Fees are 85 US$, Cart 20 US$, and rental clubs 25 US$.
