RESTAURANTS

A La Bastille - Trinidad

This fine dining, French restaurant, located on Ariapita Avenue got some very good reviews once again last season, with one Chef commenting, "Great food with a nice ambience in the restaurant." It is also not too far from Chaguaramas and is very close to the Morvino Wine Bar and Squeeze Pub (see' Restaurants / Bars - Crew' section) offering some good socialising opportunities either side of dinner!

Jaffa - Trinidad

This lovely restaurant is run by Chef/Patron Joe Brown, formerly of the famed restaurant Solimar. Joe himself has been the head chef of no less than 4 new Hilton resorts - and has now been in his trade some 32 years. The best news is that he still loves it – and now offers his finest international cuisine at his latest restaurant, Jaffa, located at the Queens Park Oval, Port of Spain.

They are open for dinner from Mon-Sat. and the easiest way to get there, is to talk to Annette and Arnold at Trump Yacht Services (see ‘Yacht Services’ section)... who will be only too happy to lay it all on. One other point of interest, is that Joe also offers a 'custom' cuisine service (see ‘Specialist Provisioning’ section).

Joseph's- Trinidad

Joseph’s restaurant in Rookery Avenue, Maraval came well recommended last season serving an ethnic menu of Lebanese and Arabic dishes. Owner and chef, Joseph Habr is very particular about the authenticity of his cuisine and it is also a fun experience to be eating your dinner without the necessity of using a knife and fork, (instead using the traditional methods of eating with one’s fingers!)
