From their workshop within the Caribbean Yachtworks compound this company have a 'state of the art' computerised C+C machine fabrication system which can be used to create highly accurate composite moulds for an unlimited array of fabrication options, from complete hull moulds, to interior cabinetry, spars, booms, flush deck hatches and super-structures... and just about anything else you can possibly conceive of creating. This was an interesting company to have come across, that came well recommended by the Captain of a sailing yacht for whom they had constructed a new boom. Soca Sailboats has been run by Paul Amon for the past 12 years, and they can build / repair any custom GRP / carbon / composites works one might need... including helm wheels, pedestals, booms, masts and spinnaker poles. Their 'mainstream' work though, is building high performance sailing boats, and over the past few years this has seen them build 14 x Tartan 34' (S & S design), 30 x Henderson 30' sportsboats, and currently they are seriously engaged in building Melges 32 hulls. The company is discreetly located within the Fernandes Industrial Centre, on Eastern Main Road in Laventille. Paul Amon is a very open and friendly character, which belies his extremely professional, 'no nonsense' demeanour, to getting jobs done! He welcomes all enquiries for custom fabrication and remedial works from all visiting yachts in need... and will do what he can to help.
