We received good recommendations for New England Detroit Diesel-Allison, one of the largest Detroit Diesel and Allison distributors on the East Coast. They carry an extensive inventory of engines, transmissions and replacement parts; and they have the capability to modify and install engines, as required. They have an ‘in-house’ engineering design department and will service yachts from Maine to Rhode Island, including Massachusetts. The Newport Shipyard’s in-house mech. engineering shop came consistently well recommended for the quality of their work. They are capable of complete complex installations of power generators and electrical equipment, shore power and converters.
