Bristol - RI

With the red white and blue road center stripe on the main road, and the largest and oldest 4th of July parade in the USA, Bristol can boast to be one of the most patriotic towns in America. With a past rich in history Bristol is today a typical quiet and charming New England waterfront town. It is home of the Herreshoff Brothers who opened their shipyard in 1878, designing and building several America’s Cup winning boats. Bristol’s highlight for all the yachting enthusiasts is the fabulous Herreshoff Museum and the America’s Cup Hall of Fame, a real showcase of the family’s genius. The Herreshoff marina (where Superyachts can be accommodated) has been one of the most highly acclaimed marinas by the Captains we interviewed, as being a major part of the New England experience for their guests. Bristol has a charming downtown with shady parks and recreation areas, beautiful houses and a choice of nice restaurants where locals from all around come to enjoy some wonderful dining.
