Oceania Marine Refit Services Limited
Oceania Marine’s shipyards are conveniently located between Auckland and the Bay of Islands in Port Whangarei, a port of entry to New Zealand.
Specialising in Superyacht refit, repair and construction, this highly recommended, professional shipyard utilises the legendary experience and skills of New Zealand to complete projects to the high standards their clients expect. They have extensive refit sheds, giving customers the option of completing a refit undercover in a controlled environment.
Particular attention is given to providing quality project management, as well as painting and refinishing services by their own coatings company, important aspects of any refit project, backed up by a skilled engineering & fabrication department.
Interior design, manufacture & installation can now be undertaken, Oceania having recently acquired SMI. This highly regarded, specialist company can handle all aspects of interior work for refit or new build.
We heard how Oceania Marine really make the crew welcome and do their best to ensure their stay is enjoyable all round.
Their main 50m refit shed with adjoining large crew area, which includes kitchen / dining, lounge, several office spaces, all Wi-Fi equipped and large workshop and storage areas for crew usage, is surely one of the best facilities in Australasia.
Oceania Marine is a significant member of the NZ marine industry, who continue to grow and improve their capabilities.
Since our last visit they have opened a second facility nearby, where they have installed a new 100t Cimolai travelift on a 4ha site with sealed hardstand and extensive shed space, easing congestion on their existing slipway and increasing capacity.
Plans are well underway for a significantly larger 560t travel lift to be in service in the near future, we would highly recommend contacting them directly for the latest information on this and other developments.
