Pat Denton

Pat first got the photography ‘bug’ while traveling extensively: South Africa, Australia, South Sea Islands and finally throughout the Caribbean, while working on cruise ships. Scuba diving and sail boats were other hobbies, which went ‘hand in hand’ with capturing such activities on film.

He then took the medium more seriously and studied at the prestigious ‘Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale’, Florida before migrating to Paris. There he worked with photo journalists and other digital professionals and eventually became a press photographer, primarily working for the London based agency ‘World Entertainment News Network’, who continue to give him assignments today.

He has covered live concerts from artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Roger Daltrey and Amy Winehouse and his worldwide publications have included Claudia Schiffer, Sharon Stone, Jeremy Irons and Rihanna. Pat moved to the Cote d’Azur where he is now concentrating more on corporate, events lifestyle and, continuing with his love of yachting, Marine Photography.

A knowledge of working for Architectural clients (Sotheby’s International Realty, Abercrombie & Kent, Loyd & Townsend Rose, etc) was most useful in adapting those techniques to the more challenging environment of boat interiors, maintaining the strict parameters of that genre for publication in brochures and magazines such as Boat International.

With the advent of small, light ‘action’ video cameras and drone technology, aerial running shots are now becoming easier and far less expensive - video clips are now often used for web-sites and social media.

Pat is based in Cannes and covers the whole of the French and Italian Riviera’s and Monaco and will be happy to discuss and quote your photo and video requirements.
